Adult Volunteers Needed!

The success of our conference depends upon the generosity of volunteers who donate their time. Please read the brief descriptions of committees provided below. If you wish to volunteer, contact Yuki Ohashi by phone or e-mail, or you may print, fill in, and send the completed Volunteer Form [Word] [PDF] to Yuki by fax or snail mail, or you may register online to be a volunteer.

Note: We especially need day-of-conference volunteers to help with facilities and hall monitor duties.

Conference Presentation

• Workshop leader or back-up workshop leader—Prepare a hands-on workshop, including helpers and supplies, and interact with attendees or be prepared to fill in if one of the regular Conference workshops cancels.
• Career Fair/Science Expo—Present the highlights of your profession to EYH participants.

Pre-Conference

• Friday night setup—Assist in setting up the workshop rooms, checking to make sure all supplies are provided and conference signs are posted.

Day of Conference

• Career Fair/Science Expo—General assistance and running errands for the CF/SE.
• Facilities—Assist with setup and takedown of equipment for presenters the day of the Conference. Work involves lifting, pushing carts, and lots of walking. [All day or portions thereof]
• Hall monitors—Provide directional assistance to students during workshop change periods. Also ensure that students stay within the conference boundaries and non-participants do not enter workshops. Feel free to bring a book or other entertainment for downtimes. [All day or portions thereof]
• Registration—Distribute registration packets the day of the Conference. [Morning only]
